About the product

General information:

There are many advantages to a wipe-clean tablecloth compared to a traditional one. They are durable, can be easily cleaned and are available in a large variety of sizes and designs.

The term oilcloth is also used to refer to a wipe clean tablecloth, as they were originally used to describe a fabric treated with linseed on one side to make it waterproof.

When ordering your oilcloth, allow about 50cm (20") for the drop i.e: 25cm (about 10”) on each side.

For your convenience, we have proposed a list of pre-defined tablecloth sizes that match the most common table sizes. But you can order a custom size too, just measure your table and add about 50cm for the drop on both sides. The width is 140cm so it usually fits a table of up to 1meter wide.

A few centimeters either way will not affect the general appearance.

At the moment, we do not hem our tablecloths. The PVC coating largely prevents fraying.

Safety and Quality first:

All our tablecloths are certified EU OEKO-TEX which guarantees they have been tested for absence of harmful substances. Please note they are not heat of flame resistant.

First time use:

When you first apply your tablecloth, you may notice some creases, they are due to the fact that we ship it folded. These creases will settle in a short period of time.

Care instructions:

Our tablecloths are 100% hassle free, they do not need to be hand washed, machine washed, ironed whatsoever.

In case of a spill or stain of any kind, simply wipe clean your tablecloth using a damp or soapy kitchen cloth/ towel.

It is recommended to clean-up heavy pigmented sauces (example tomato, turmeric) as soon as possible to minimize the chance of permanent staining. If this still happens (if the stain is left for too long), lemon and sunlight exposure (kids friendly option) can help eliminate the stain, as well as hydrogen peroxide.

Note that some products can permanently stain the surface of a tablecloth like permanent markers etc.

When used outdoors, Mold can cause stains on your tablecloth. The good news is that sunlight is effective in fighting it.    To get rid of active mold, place your PVC tablecloth under the sun for several hours. Use a soft cloth with white vinegar and wipe down the front and back of your tablecloth.

Sustainability:

Once ready to retire, a tablecloth can be endlessly repurposed! As waterproof objects such as totes, BBQ grill cover, or for craft projects, floor protectors for room painting and much more…
